In my opinion a robot is a mechanical being who helps with human tasks.  They are not like R2-D2 that fly star ships for you and save you from those official rats that the Hutts have around for some reason.  They can also run computers, assemble cars, perform surgery. They run with a program we have no robots that have complete minds of their owns yet.

Auto-motive manufacturer, they can build auto motive things.

It started a long time ago in a galaxy far far away with R2-D2, C-3PO, and IG-88, then we got like computers and some other car stuff so yeah ROBOTS.
